Information

Delegate Registration
All Conference attendees, including invited speakers, should register in advance of the Conference. All fully registered delegates will receive the following:

  • Conference Bag including the Conference Programme and other associated Conference materials.
  • Conference Badge permitting access to all Scientific Sessions excluding short courses on Sunday 8 May
  • 2 course hot and cold buffet Lunch, Tea and Coffee at the stated times throughout the Conference.
  • Admission to Civic Reception, Sunday 8 May 2005.
  • Admission to Conference Dinner, Monday 9 May 2005.
  • Admission to AIXTRON & Thomas Swan Reception on Wednesday 11 May 2005.

Registration will begin on Sunday 8 May in the Ballroom Foyer of the Thistle Hotel from 1500-1800 hours and will continue throughout the Conference, beginning each morning at 0800 hours. Conference registrants with special needs should contact the Conference Secretariat in advance for assistance.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION HAS NOW CLOSED, YOU WILL HOWEVER HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO REGISTER ON SITE FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON ONWARDS.
Registration Information for Accompanying Guests
Accompanying guests must register using the appropriate space on the Registration Form. The Accompanying Guest Registration Fee includes:
  • Admission to Civic Reception, Sunday 8 May 2005.
  • Admission to Conference Dinner, Monday 9 May 2005.
  • Admission to AIXTRON & Thomas Swan Reception on Wednesday 11 May 2005.

Please note entry is not permitted to the Exhibition or Scientific Sessions. Tea/coffee and lunches are also not included.

Short Course Registration
The Short Courses will run on Sunday 8 May only. The short course fee includes attendance at a single course and will include all short course materials. Numbers for these workshops are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Registration Fees
To be eligible for the member fee you must be a member of IEEE, LEOS, IEE, IOP or EDS, or an affiliate of LEOS or EDS. To take advantage of the reduced registration rates, all registration forms must be returned by 11 March 2005. The registration fee categories are as follows:

Advanced Registration (prior to/on 11 March 2005)
Member £380 plus VAT (£446.50)
Non-Member £430 plus VAT (£505.25)
Student Member* £250 plus VAT (£293.75)
Student Non-Member* £280 plus VAT (£329.00)

One Day Registration £200 plus VAT per day (£235.00)
Half Day Registration £50 plus VAT (Wednesday morning only) (£58.75)
1 Short Course £150 plus VAT  (£176.25)
2 Short Courses £225 plus VAT (£264.38)
Accompanying Guest £75 plus VAT (£88.12)

Late Registration (after 11 March 2005)
Member £430 plus VAT (£505.25)
Non-Member £480 plus VAT (£564.00)
Student Member* £280 plus VAT (£329.00)
Student Non-Member* £320 plus VAT (£376.00)

VAT is charged at 17.5%

*Please note these rates are only applicable to delegates who will have full time student status in May 2005. A letter verifying this status must accompany all registration forms. Letters must be signed by either a supervisor or head of department.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be in writing or e-mailed to the Conference Secretariat.

Registration fees

Cancellations received on or before 11 April 2005.
An administration fee of £100 will be deducted from any refund issued .

Cancellations received after 11 April 2005.
No refunds will be issued.
